Turn an email off
Every kind of email is one switch, all on to start. Turn one off from your profile or from the link at the foot of any issue, and turn it back on the same way.
Elixir sends eight kinds of email, and every one is on for a new account. Each kind is one switch, and turning one off is immediate and yours to undo. Email has what each one holds and when it lands.
The switches
Console ▸ Profile ▸ Email (/console/account/profile/email) lists the eight kinds, each with a line on what it is: the Clan report, Your week in the Arena, Your friends this week, the Top 100, Card of the Week, Collector activity, Milestones and Clan actions waiting. Untick one and it stops. The same page links to every email sent to you.
Two of the switches only matter to some accounts, and are dimmed for the rest: Collector activity needs a collector you run, and Clan actions waiting needs a verified player in a clan.
From the email itself
Every issue carries a link to turn that kind off, and one to your email page. The turn-off link opens a page that asks first: nothing changes until you press Turn it off. Every issue also carries the standard one-click unsubscribe, so a mail app that shows its own unsubscribe button turns the kind off in one step, with no page.
Either way it can be turned back on from your email page. Every change is kept in your account's events, saying whether it came from the profile or from a link.
One player or one clan
The switches are per kind, never per player or per clan. To hear less about one subject:
- Your friends this week: switch off the player's Notifications on its page under Tracking, and it leaves the report and your timeline while recording carries on (Follow a friend).
- Clan report: it comes for each clan you track, one report per clan. Stopping tracking a clan stops its report, and its recording too unless something else keeps it recorded.
- Milestones: one switch covers your primary and every alt.
There is no single switch that turns everything off; turn off each kind you do not want.
Mail that has no switch
Sign-in codes and links, and the welcome email when your account opens, are service mail. They come whatever your switches say, and sign-in codes are not in the list of emails sent to you.
The newsletter
The product newsletter is not one of the eight. It goes out through a separate service, Buttondown, and you leave it with the unsubscribe link in any newsletter issue.
